Mettler Toledo Product Fault Notification
It has come to our attention that some printers in our product range have been supplied to you with a fault that in some circumstances could result in the generation of an erroneous record of data generated by the instruments to which the printer is attached. Action is needed to identify if the products you have purchased are at risk of showing the problem and if so to correct the device so the possibility of the error arising is removed.

Description of Fault
If a Printer belonging to one of the series LC-P45, RS-P42, GA45 is operated with a baud rate of 9600 or 4800, under certain conditions one or more individual characters may be missing on the printout. The fact that a character is missing may not be obvious as following text is shifted to the left.The risks associated with this error are that data sent to the printer may be incorrectly printed such that data records may be incorrect.
Conditions under which the fault could occur
The problem can arise where the following conditions occur simultaneously:1. A Printer of the series LC-P45 or RS-P42 or GA45 is used, and
2. The Printer is connected to any of the following METTLER TOLEDO products: AX, MX, UMX, XS, XP, WX, XJ, PG-S, AB-S, PBS, AB, PB, SB Balances or to an HB or MJ Moisture Analyzer, and
3. The Printer communicates with the balance at a baud rate of 9600 or 4800, and
4. More than 1 line is printed on the printer
