The Repair Process
This section is designed to give you an idea of what, in an ideal situation would be the stages your instriment would go through. This handy Q&A flowchart will help you complete a repair with us as well as help you decipher what stage your product is at depending on the previous stage.| Stage | Question | Answer |
| 1. | I have an instrument to be repaired what should I do? | If
you have a broken instrument then the first step is to fill out the

| 1.1 | I’m not sure if you would repair this? | Not to worry just get in touch and we will be able to advise you on the best course of action. You can get in contact either via Website or via Email, Phone or Post |
| 2. | I have returned the relevant form and sent it in before or with the item. | We await delivery of your instrument. |
| 3. | How do I know if you have received my item? | Once we have received and examined your product we will send you one of the following two forms. Estimate of Repair - This form means we believe we can repair the item and know what parts may or may not be required for the repair. Write Off Notification - This form means we can't repair the item I am affraid. Which ever one you receive please fill it in and return it back to us so we can take the appropriate action. |
| 4. | I have filled in the form and returned it. What happens next? | This all depends on what form you received. |
| 4.1 | I sent back an Estimate of Repair form signed with a purchase order number for the repair of my item. | Once we have received it we will order any necessary parts and begin the repair. |
| 4.2 | I sent back a Estimate of Repair form signed wanting it to be disposed of. | Once we have received it we will dispose of the item and our sales team will contact you in regards to your requirements of a replacement. |
| 4.3 | I sent back a Estimate of Repair form signed wanting it to be returned un-repaired. | Once we have received it we will send your item back to you and our sales team will contact you in regards to your requirements of a replacement. |
| 4.4 | I sent back a Estimate of Repair form signed for us to collect. | Once
we have received it we will pack your item so when you transport it is
safe and protected as it was when you sent it to us. Once this is done
we will contact you and arrange for a suitable collection date and
time. Our sales team will contact you in regards to your requirements
of a replacement. |
| 4.5 | I sent back a Write Off Notification form signed wanting it to be disposed of. | Once we have received it we will dispose of the item and our sales team will contact you in regards to your requirements of a replacement. |
| 4.6 | I sent back a Write Off Notification signed wanting it to be returned un-repaired. | Once we have received it we will send your item back to you and our sales team will contact you in regards to your requirements of a replacement. |
| 4.7 | I sent back a Write Off Notification signed for us to collect. | Once
we have received it we will pack your item so when you transport it is
safe and protected as it was when you sent it to us. Once this is done
we will contact you and arrange for a suitable collection date and
time. Our sales team will contact you in regards to your requirements
of a replacement. |
| 5. | I have received a Revised Estimate what do I do and what does it mean? | One
possibility is that now we have gone to repair the item and the fault
is bigger than we anticipated. Another is that in doing the repair a
new problem has been found. Or we may have originally diagnosed the
fault incorrectly and the parts we have are incorrect (Don't worry you
won't be charged for parts & labour for a miss diagnosis however
the parts that are required may not be the same price). If you want the repair to go ahead then please fill out the form and return to us making any necessary amendments to your original purchase order or issuing a new one instead of or in addition to the original. If you don't then the options are the same as those outlined in the original estimate form (see Stage 4.2 to 4.4). |
| 6. | Has it been fixed? | Once we have done any repair we test the item. Once we are happy it is working properly we will send it back to you. |
